Director: Raj Mehta
STORY :
The film starts with snippets of Kukoo (Varun Dhawan) and Naina (Kiara Advani) ’s relationship and how they have fallen out of it and want a divorce. But they both agree to act as a happy couple for Ginny’s wedding ( Kukoo’s sister). Will they be able to act so or not? And what Kukoo 's father has in store forms the rest of the story.
ANALYSIS :
The story looks very much regular and tried many times before. But the director makes it enjoyable by mixing the entertainment and emotional quotient in the right manner. The first half has lighter moments and the second half has its real heart in it. Especially last 40 minutes take for an emotional ride with a pinch of fun.
PERFORMANCES :
Anil Kapoor adds life to the character, full marks for his role Kiara is sparkling, Varun Dhawan is good and Neetu Singh is elegant. Manish Paul provides the required humor and Prajakta Kohli was quite impressive even though she has a short role.
TECHNICAL DEPARTMENTS:
The cinematographer beautifully captures the colors. The dance choreography is decent, eyeful to see Kiara and Varun dancing together. Dialogues were nice and apt.
What works for the Movie:
Performances
The right mix of Fun and Emotions
Last 30 minutes
What didn't work for the movie:
Redundancy in some portions
Routine plotline
Last Lines: JugJugg Jeeyo is a perfect family entertainer with enough fun and impactful drama and is an earnest attempt to convey an important message about relations.
