Right from the moment that KS Ravindra aka Bobby’s combination has been announced with Megastar Chiranjeevi,
There were mixed feelings amidst the Chiru fan fraternity, be it underwhelming performances of his most expected movies or Chiru being “Bholaa Shankar” and giving boons to everyone who would call themselves a fan to direct him. Irrespective of the reasons, the response was luke warm. But as the movie started shaping up, Bobby has come up with a new hashtag “Poonakalu loading” which has taken the buzz directly into the audience. One would wonder what that means but the moment you step into the theater for this Festival Bonanza your clouds would separate with the ICONIC Charishma of the MASS MOOLA VIRAT MEGA STAR.
Every claim that Bobby has made about his unconditional love for Megastar Chiranjeevi could be seen on screen, and as Megastar Chiranjeevi himself said in the Pre release event and the promotional interviews, Bobby’s efforts were obvious on the silver screen. Everything that a Chiru fan expected right from his come back movie Khaidi number 150, or every nuance that wasn’t proportional enough since K150 have been balanced or provided abundantly in Bobby's “Waltair Veerayya”.
Recent times have a scarcity of commercial entertainers and who else would give us a better commercial entertainer than Mega Star himself. Another name that would come into any movie goers mind for these formulaic entertainers is Ravi teja, and Bobby has a close association with him too and Bobby has loaded this flick with the Mass Maharaja as well.
Well if you wear metacritic reviewers glasses and are hard bound to critically review a Telugu commercial entertainer with a tomato meter then one would call this foolishness. But if you are in for watching THE Vintage Megastar there are references and tributes for his yesteryears block buster entertainers overflowing. Starting with Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari, Mutha Mestri, Gangleader, Khaidi number 150, Shankardada MBBS etc Bobby has made sure that the script is well balanced with references to all these entertainers.
Not only Chiru Bobby has given equal importance to Raviteja by writing bombastic episodes for him too and he also kept Chiru- Ravitejas previous on screen associations in mind and made sure that the current impact would be a callback for that movie Annayya too. Any word uttered further will not be sufficient to describe how Bobby has shaped up Chiru and Raviteja combo.
Waltair Veerayya is the best way that Bobby could show his inclinations for the MEGASTAR and MASS MAHARAJA duo.
