The combination of the Nani and Vivek Athreya made the audience attracted to the movie, the teaser gave a blockbuster vibe but the trailer received a somewhat mixed response. Now let's find out what is the outcome.

Story:

Sundaram (Nani), is from an orthodox Brahmin family. Leela Thomas (Nazriya) is from a Christian family, they both are schoolmates, and Sundar develops a love feeling for Leela. Though not immediately, Leela too falls for Sundar. Worrying about their parent's response they both come up with two lies to their families about each other. How those lies got them into the problems forms the rest of the story.

Analysis:

The movie starts with the childhood episode of the lead pair. Director narrates those episodes in a nonlinear style. Though the technique looks a bit repetitive and lengthy it helped in establishing the characters of both hero and heroine.

The fun feeling was well maintained in the Sundar's office/family track and romance portions were too came out fair. Towards the interval, we get a clue about what's going to take place in the next half.

But the director scores in the second half by mixing the entertainment and sensitivities in an almost near-perfect manner. The tricky balance between the lies told by the lead pair and the consequences of the same was portrayed brilliantly.

Performances:

Nani was superb as Sundar, this role is a trademark kind for him and he does full justice to it. Naresh stands out in the father's role with fantastic effect. Nadia was too good, Nazriya was decent and Azhagam Perumal was fine. Harshavardhan provided the required humor and Rahul Ramakrishna made his presence felt, Anupama Parameswaran appears in a guest role.

Others:

Dialogues were good, songs may not strike in the audio but they settle in the movie seamlessly. The background score was effective.

What works for the movie:

Performances
Entertainment
Strong pre-climax and climax

What did not work for the movie:

Monotony in nonlinear narration
Dull moments before pre-climax

Overall, the director was successful in providing a healthy entertainer with the help of apt performances and rightly done execution.

Lastly: Sundaraniki Entertainment Ekkuve.
