Kantara receives mixed response in OTT release

Kantara, the latest Pan Indian blockbuster has started streaming on Amazon Prime from Nov. 24 midnight. Family audiences were waiting to see Kantara in OTT.

Made with a budget around 15 crores, Kantara became a blockbuster hit in every language it released and created records with crossing 400 crores mark Worldwide. Kantara's OTT release was highly anticipated by the audience.

However, the response for Kantara in OTT is a bit mixed one. The audience who have watched the movie in OTT have come out with an opinion that only the initial 15 mins and final 20 mins of the movie were spectacular and apart from that, it is just an ordinary movie. Further, there is one strong reason for the audience to be disappointed with Kantara. Kantara background music has reached the audience so much that they were in awe if Varaaha roopam song which comes at the end of the movie, which was replaced with another song in OTT, this has shocked the audience. The audiences are disappointed as the same song was not there in Amazon Prime Video.

The makers have removed this song after the copyright act came on the Varaaha roopam song. The members of Taikkudam Bridge album from Kerala went to court claiming that Kantara makers had copied the Varaaha roopam song. That's why the song was not present in the OTT version. But now there is good news for Kantara OTT audience who are in despair.

The Kozhikode court in Kerala dismissed the case filed by Taikkudam Bridge Album yesterday, while the judgment of the Palakkud court is yet to come. After hearing this news, netizens were delighted that their favorite song will be available again in OTT. Let's hope that their wishes come true.
