Performances:
Sukriti Veni Bandreddi gave a remarkable and charming performance in her first appearance. Ananda Chakrapani delivered an outstanding performance as Rama Chandrayya, and Bhanu Prakash Kothala, Nehal Anand Kumkuma, Lavanya Reddy, and Rag Mayur all contributed significantly while the remaining cast members were equally fitting.
What worked for the film:
It is praiseworthy how the director Padmavathi Malladi conveys that one can accomplish their objectives via non-violence (Ahimsa Marg). The heartfelt moments shared between Gandhi and her grandfather are moving. The strategies Gandhi uses to promote change in her village are further interesting. Although it is dramatic, the climax works well and achieves the intended effect.
What happened not work for the film:
The film presents a simple storyline and a sequential screenplay, leading to a predictable narrative. Moreover, certain drawn-out scenes and pivotal moments involving character transformations could have been executed better.
Gandhi Tatha Chettu Review and Verdict:
Gandhi Tatha Chettu gives the impression of an uncomplicated story featuring an adolescent lead and her goals. Nevertheless, the film's subtlety highlights crucial aspects of society as the downturn in agriculture, migration patterns, educational access, environmental problems, and gender equality. The film has its flaws, but is definitely worthwhile for its honest nature.
