Story:

Satya Akella (Srinivas Avasarala), a rich businessman, gets kidnapped, which alarms the Chief Minister (Naresh). The CM and the Police opt to bring in YD Raju (Venkatesh), an ex-police officer, to handle the operation. Meenu, a police officer and Raju's former girlfriend embarks on a mission to persuade him. The rest of the movie centers on YD Raju's efforts to resolve the issues between his wife, Bhagyam (Aishwarya Rajesh), and Meenu as he also conducts a rescue operation.

Performances:

In terms of performance, Venkatesh fulfills the requirements. Although the character lacks significant impact, he still creates some depth and delivers the necessary effect. Aishwarya Rajesh portrays Venkatesh's wife and gives a convincing performance in her character. The actress Meenakshi Chaudhary, who takes on the character of his ex-girlfriend, also performed well.

Revanth, a young artist, takes on the role of Bulli Raju, Venkatesh's son, and brings some humorous moments that shine through. Veteran actor Naresh portrays the Chief Minister and did a fair job. Srinivas Avasarala portrays a significant character, yet he lacks any scenes or moments to showcase his talent. VTV Ganesh brings plenty of laughs, whereas Upendra Limaye's portrayal of the over-the-top police officer was decent. Sai Kumar plays a supporting character alongside Upendra and performs well in his brief appearance. In a minor role, Sarvadaman Bannerjee did fine.

What worked for the film:

As expected, the film depends on comedy, and right from the outset, the humor proves effective for most parts. The entire narrative surrounding the Godari Gattu song and the later focus on child artist Revanth, featuring references to OTT platforms and web series, resonates strongly, yet it feels moderately uncomfortable to see a young kid saying such vulgar words. The Pre-, Climax, and Climax (though stretched) work properly. Venky's humorous take on how men should interact with their wives makes for an entertaining message. Bheems Ceciroleo’s music serves as a strong asset for the film. His songs sound great, but the background score is just average.

What did not work for the film:

In the second half of the movie, there are several issues with the narrative flow, and the 'Papa Bhai' track could have been executed more effectively. This track features Sai Kumar, Prudhvi, Upendra Limaye, and other characters; it's decent but lacks impact at times.

Sankranthiki Vasthunnam Review and Verdict:

Sankranthiki Vasthunnam stands out as an amusing entertainer packed with humor, convincing performances, and appealing music. The loudness at times and extended climax might appear as flaws, yet it still qualifies as a good watch.
