What Works:
Director Girish A.D., known for films such as Premalu and Super Sharanya, takes up the potentially tricky subject of an age-gap romance. It is a premise that could easily have gone wrong if handled without sensitivity, but the filmmaker succeeds in presenting Justin and Ashley's relationship with maturity and warmth.
The romance develops naturally through the interactions between the leads, without feeling overly forced or dramatic. The film effectively explores why society often views age-gap relationships as a problem while also making the point that there is nothing inherently wrong with two consenting adults falling in love.
The sequence where Justin and Ashley express their feelings for each other is beautifully handled. The way they respond to a crisis in the latter half and communicate their relationship issues during the climax is both cute and heartfelt.
The lighter moments involving the families and neighbourhood characters also work well for the most part. Vishnu Vijay's music and the cinematography complement the mood and tone of the film effectively.

What Doesn't Work:
The portions involving Justin's brother Joel and his romantic track feel somewhat ordinary and don't have the same charm as the main relationship.
The film also experiences a slight dip in pace during the latter half, although it never becomes a major issue.
