The region of Mirzapur plays a crucial role in the power politics of Purvanchal, Uttar Pradesh. Akhandanand Tripathi, aka Kaleen Bhaiyya, sits firmly on the throne of Mirzapur and continues to call the shots in his territory.
However, Baban Babua emerges as a new threat with his eyes set on the coveted Mirzapur throne. The film revolves around the power struggle that follows and explores how Kaleen Bhaiyya’s trusted aides, Guddu Bhaiya and Babloo, become part of this intense battle.
As alliances shift and new threats emerge, the story takes several twists and turns in the race for power.
Performances:
Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, and Divyenndu reprise their iconic roles from the original series and retain the same impact that made these characters so popular. They slip effortlessly back into their respective characters.
Jitendra Kumar is the new addition to the cast, stepping into the role of Babloo Pandit, originally played by Vikrant Massey. He delivers a restrained, calm, and effective performance.
Ravi Kishan is excellent as the antagonist and brings the required intensity to the character. Rasika Dugal, Abhishek Banerjee, and the rest of the supporting cast also deliver solid performances.
