Story:

Kittu (played by Vijay Antony) works as a broker in the secretariat. He uses clever tricks, shortcuts, and even takes advantage of people’s weaknesses to get things done. Ministers, assistants, and police officers all fall into his web. But when they all turn against him in the wake of a big financial scam, the government and police chase him, forcing Kittu to reveal his real motives.

Performances:

Vijay Antony gives a strong performance, especially in the first half, where he fits into the role with ease. Cell Murugan and Sunil Kriplani do well in their parts, while Trupthi Ravindra is okay, though her role is small.

What worked for the Film:

Director Arun Prabu starts the film on an engaging note and introduces Kittu’s character effectively. The first half is filled with smart scenes showing how Kittu handles the messy and corrupt world of government offices. A few scenes and dialogues in the second half are thoughtful and work well. The background music adds good support to the story.

What did not work for the Film:

However, the second half loses its grip. The story shifts into familiar territory with revenge and emotional drama. What could have been a strong political thriller turns into a regular tale of a man fighting for justice, with shades of a Robin Hood-like character. The climax doesn’t leave much impact, as it feels predictable from early on.

Bhadrakaali Review and Verdict:

Arun Prabhu's Bhadrakaali (Shakthi Thirumagan in Original) starts as an exciting political drama, but it quickly turns into an ineffective ride despite having some thought-provoking moments/dialogues.
