Story:

Jolly LLB 3 features Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi as rival lawyers—Jolly Mishra and Jolly Tyagi. The story follows Janaki (Seema Biswas), a farmer’s widow who loses her husband unexpectedly and decides to take on a powerful business empire. As the case unfolds, both lawyers set aside their differences and join forces to fight for justice, with Judge Sunderlal Tripathi (Saurabh Shukla) presiding over the courtroom in his usual witty and frustrated style.

Performances:

Akshay Kumar delivers a strong performance, especially in the second half. Arshad Warsi also leaves a mark and gets a memorable moment in the climax. Saurabh Shukla is excellent as always. Gajraj Rao, Seema Biswas, and Ram Kapoor fit well into their roles. Huma Qureshi and Amrita Rao have limited screen time but contribute meaningfully in a few key scenes.

What worked for the film:

Directed by Subhash Kapoor, the film is inspired by the 2011 Bhatta Parsaul land acquisition case. A disclaimer at the beginning clarifies that creative liberties were taken to fictionalize real events. The first half is lively, with sharp dialogues and a fun rivalry between the two Jollys. The second half shifts to a more emotional tone, and the final thirty minutes are especially effective.

What did not work for the film:

While the film delivers a strong message about justice and fair wealth distribution, it doesn’t offer much new in terms of story structure. The format feels familiar, and some scenes remind viewers of the earlier films in the series. The conflict between the two lawyers also starts to feel repetitive after a point.

Jolly LLB 3 Review and Verdict:

Subhash Kapoor's Jolly LLB 3 mixes comedy with genuine drama, strong acting, and a powerful message. While some parts drag on and seem predictable, the film still manages to impress with its heartfelt approach.
