Ramesh (Thiruveer) runs a photo studio and xerox shop along with his friend Ram Charan (Master Rohan Roy). Ramesh falls for Hema (Teena Sravya), who works at the Panchayat office opposite his shop. One day, Anand (Narendra Ravi), a politically active man, approaches Ramesh to shoot his pre-wedding photos. The shoot goes smoothly, and Anand spends a lot on it. However, trouble begins when Ram Charan accidentally loses the memory card. The film then follows Ramesh’s desperate attempts to find the lost chip and the chaos that follows.
Performances:
Thiruveer is excellent as Ramesh, and his chemistry with Master Rohan adds a lot of humor. Master Rohan is adorable and genuinely funny. Narendra Ravi stands out as Anand with a natural and engaging performance. Teena Sravya and Yamini Nageswar do justice to their roles.
What Works:
Set in a small town, The Great Pre-Wedding Show charms with its sweet and innocent characters, a fun central conflict, and plenty of situational comedy. The story of Ramesh trying to save his studio leads to many amusing moments.
The comedy works well throughout the film, and the second half also has some heartfelt emotional scenes. The director nicely connects simple and funny incidents to the bigger theme of marriage near the climax. Suresh Bobbili’s pleasant background score and Soma Sekhar’s beautiful cinematography bring out the natural flavor of small-town life.
What Doesn't Work:
However, the film has a thin storyline and drags in a few parts. Some sequences feel predictable, and the director could have added more fresh and varied situations instead of repeating similar setups for humor.
The Great Pre-Wedding Show Review and Verdict:
Rahul Srinivas’s The Great Pre-Wedding Show is a fun and grounded film. Though it has a few dull moments, the humorous situations, relatable performances, and genuine storyline make it an enjoyable watch.
