Story:
Praveen (Ken Karunas) is not interested in studies, but his mother, Saroja (Devadarshini), dreams of seeing him become an IAS officer. However, Praveen is more focused on chasing love. He falls for Preshika (Meenakshi Dinesh), develops feelings for Sonal (Priyanshi Yadav), and, due to unexpected situations, grows closer to Gangavalli (Anishma Anilkumar). The story follows how Praveen matures over time and learns to handle both his life and relationships.
Performances:
Ken Karunas delivers a good performance as the lead, handling both fun and emotional moments well. Anishma Anilkumar, Priyanshi Yadav, and Meenakshi Dinesh also perform effectively in their roles. Suraj Venjaramoodu and Devadarshini are convincing as the hero’s parents, bringing depth to their characters. The actors playing Praveen’s friends add good energy and humor.
What Works:
Though the storyline is not very fresh, the film succeeds in blending humor and emotions effectively. The first half is filled with entertaining moments, especially in the love tracks, while the friends’ characters add to the fun.
Even though Praveen’s journey toward maturity is predictable, the emotional scenes in the final half hour are handled well by Ken Karunas and leave an impact. The father-son relationship is portrayed naturally, with some heartfelt moments. The music also complements the film nicely and enhances the overall experience.
What Doesn’t Work:
Some comedy scenes feel repetitive and could have been trimmed. A key sequence involving a clash between student groups near the pre-climax could have been executed better. The overall predictability of the narrative may not appeal to all sections of the audience.
Youth Review and Verdict:
Ken Karunas delivers an entertaining coming-of-age story with enough captivating scenes, especially in its latter half, even though it sticks to a standard template. The performances and music complement the film perfectly.
