Story:

Nayana (Hebah Patel), Aparna (Siri Hanumanth), Kalyan (Thrigun), and Vinay (Akhil Raj) are close friends who expose fake godmen and fraudulent babas across religions, especially those who mislead people using ghosts and spirits. After Aparna marries Vinay and becomes pregnant, the group plans a celebratory trip. During this time, they discover that Dr. Adidev (Babloo Prithveeraj), once a doctor, has now turned into a Swami.

The friends decide to expose his true nature. In response, Dr. Adidev challenges them to stay in a haunted house for three days to prove that ghosts do not exist. The rest of the film shows the experiences the group faces inside the house and the fate that awaits them.

Performances:

Hebah Patel, Siri Hanumanth, Thrigun, and Akhil Raj appear in the main roles, but sadly, none of the characters have any impact. Prithiveeraj is decent in the role of Swami

What Works:

Director Srinivas Manne picks a familiar theme but manages to keep the suspense alive to some extent. There are genuinely scary moments, and the accident scene and the sequence where the friends meet Dr. Adidev for the first time work well. The pre-interval episode is also effective. The background score fits the genre well and adds tension to several scenes.

What Doesn't Work:

The film lacks strong jump scares, with only a few working as intended. The behavior of the main characters often feels irritating, as they ignore danger and argue unnecessarily about logic and practicality. The climax, though designed to surprise, ends up being predictable and fails to deliver the impact the buildup promised.

Eesha Review and Verdict:

Srinivas Manne’s Eesha is an average horror thriller. While the film has a few effective jump scares, the overall execution fails to create the intended impact. The climax twist is predictable and does not leave a strong impression.
