Story:

Vikram, a skeptical geologist, is sent to investigate mysterious deaths in a superstitious village called Shambhala. As he digs deeper, his beliefs are challenged, and he uncovers the truth behind the village’s dark history. This journey of discovery forms the heart of the story.

Performances:

Aadi Saikumar delivers a decent performance in the lead role and shines in a few key scenes. Archana Iyer fits her role well and does a fine job. Supporting actors like Madhunandan, Ravi Varma, Annapurna Sijju, and others are satisfactory.

What Works:

The film’s biggest strength is its screenplay, which stays focused on the core plot from the beginning. While the twists aren’t very surprising, the story remains engaging. Even when the director reveals how the evil force operates, the suspense and interest stay intact. The background score is good.

What Doesn't Work:

There are some flaws, especially in how certain characters behave during crucial scenes that feel illogical at times. Some parts, like the pre-interval episode, feel stretched. The climax also feels a bit too simple compared to the buildup throughout the film.

Shambhala Review and Verdict:

Ugandhar Mani's Shambhala has a thrilling main concept, and the script flows smoothly without any pointless detours. The backstory and several important moments in the latter half are effective. The film captivates audiences for the most part, but it falls short of being truly powerful due to its failure to evoke the desired thrilling atmosphere.
