Story:
Prabhendu (Nivin Pauly) is an aspiring musician who comes from a family of wealthy priests. To manage his personal expenses, he takes up a job as an assistant priest. The story follows how his life changes when an unexpected person enters it and alters his outlook on life.
Performances:
Nivin Pauly delivers a convincing and effective performance. Riya Shibu is impressive as Delulu, and her screen presence is truly adorable. Aju Varghese feels natural, and his scenes with Nivin work very well due to their strong chemistry. Preity Mukundan makes a solid impact despite limited screen time, while Janardhan fits perfectly as the hero’s uncle. The supporting cast also performs well in their respective roles.
What Works:
The biggest strength of Sarvam Maya, directed by Akhil Sathyan, is its organic and gentle humor. The film focuses on small, heartwarming moments, maintaining a consistent feel-good tone throughout. The conversations between Prabhu and Delulu are engaging, and the flashback near the climax adds an emotional touch.
What Doesn't:
On the downside, the film takes some time to pick up in the beginning. The Mumbai episode and the scenes that follow could have been handled better, as they feel slightly stretched.
