Story:

The arrival of a television set brings unexpected change to a quiet village. What begins as a moment of joy soon turns sour as jealousy, hatred, and personal differences take over, ultimately leading to the theft of the TV.

Performances:

Thimmarajupalli TV features a cast of newcomers. Vedha Jalandhar, Pradeep Kotte, Swathi Karimireddy, and Sai Tej deliver solid performances, while the rest of the cast fit well into their respective roles.

What Works:

Director Muniraju, who also writes and edits the film, keeps the setting grounded and realistic. The story is simple, almost like a short tale, but it finds strength in the second half. The drama unfolds effectively with a touch of suspense, keeping the audience engaged. The climax stands out with a relatable emotional payoff and a neat twist.

What Doesn’t Work:

The first half struggles to hold attention, as the setup of characters and their relationships lacks impact. The emotional thread between the two lovers in the second half feels underdeveloped because their bond is not properly established earlier. Overall, the key characters and their interactions needed stronger writing to make a deeper impression.

Thimmarajupalli TV Review and Verdict:

Muniraju’s Thimmarajupalli TV is a sincere attempt at a rooted village drama, but it ends up being just an average film because of an underwhelming first half and underdeveloped emotions, while the second half is better.
