What is the connection between Radha and Vasudev? Why did the masked man hold Vasudev and Radha as captives? Does Vasudev's habit of reading other people's letters put him in danger? Answers to all the questions are answered in the rest of the story
Performances:
Kiran Abbavaram delivered a convincing performance as Vasudev. There is also another variation for his character, and he handled it properly. Tanvi Ram is good in a crucial role, and she adds the required emotional factor to her character and scenes. Nayan Sarika is beautiful, and she makes her presence felt. Kingsley, Achyuth Ram, Sharanya Pradeep, and others fit well and do their jobs perfectly.
What worked for the film:
Debutant director duo Sandep-Sujeeth came up with KA, a period-based thriller. The main plot of the film is very exciting, and the revelation of it towards the climax creates a stunning impact. The director duo added the regular elements of love track, villain, and comedy to the fresh storyline to make it appealing to all kinds of audiences. The initial episode, scenes towards the interval, and the women trafficking part in the second half work well for the film, along with the climax as mentioned above. The background music by Sam CS is superb, and the camera/art work also excels in creating the authentic period backdrop.
What did not work for the film:
After an interesting start, KA loses its grip on the narration for a while as the character of the masked man does not generate the required thrill. Also, the love track did not fit in the screenplay, especially in the first half. The director, Sandeep-Sujeeth could have concentrated on making the narration more interesting in the first half, and they also could have checked on the consistency overall. Instead of some filler comedy scenes, they could have shown the proceedings that involve important characters.
KA Review and Verdict:
KA is a brave film with an exciting concept. Though the film has its ups and downs, it keeps viewers engaged and finishes on a thrilling high. Kiran Abbavaram impresses with his performance, while Tanvi Ram is also good. Sam CS provides the required impact with his background score.
