Story:

Ahaan Panday plays Krish Kapoor, a rising singer with anger problems. He wants to succeed in music and become a superstar. After her intense breakup with her boyfriend, Vaani Batra (Aneet Padda), who dreams of being a writer, bumps into Krish and ends up falling for him.

The couple enjoys a good moment until Vaani's health makes her act oddly. In what way did Vaani's behavioral shift influence her relationship with Krish? Did Krish achieve superstardom? Did Vaani turn into a writer? The film revolves around finding out if they get a happy ending in their love story.

Performances:

In his debut film, Ahaan Panday puts on a great show. He might seem a bit lost in some parts, but he really shines in the second half when things get more intense emotionally.

Aneet Padda totally nails her debut performance. She appeared fantastic on screen, and the chemistry between her and Ahaan Panday was spot on. Geeta Agarwal steals the spotlight as the heroine’s mother, but the other cast members didn’t have a lot of chances to perform.

What worked for the film:

Director Mohit Suri, famous for his musical love stories, is back with a new flick called Saiyaara. He sticks to what he knows and serves up a gripping love drama that mostly hits the mark, even if it feels a lot like his previous movies.

The chemistry and the mood between the two leads is kind of entertaining in the initial phase, and it ramps up as the film progresses. As mentioned above, both newbies do a fantastic job of maintaining the mood during proceedings.

Seven music directors, including Mithoon, Sachet–Parampara, Tanishk Bagchi, Rishabh Kant, Vishal Mishra, Faheem Abdullah, and Arslan Nisami, created the film's soundtrack, and every track is awesome. The background music by John Stewart Eduri suits the film.

The dialogues Rohan Shankar wrote fit perfectly in a romantic drama. These dialogues give the vital scenes space to do their thing and create the right effect.

What did not work for the film:

The whole movie focuses on the main actors. The female lead has a solid emotional development from start to finish, while the male lead's character lacks that kind of growth. One cannot connect with both his musical journey and the bond he has with his pals.

The lead actress's mother character leaves an impression, but the director missed the mark on the lead actor's father character and how that storyline concludes.

Things slow down in the second half, and you can see some clichés coming from a mile away.

Saiyaara Review and Verdict:

With Saiyaara, Mohit Suri revives the charm of his mark romance thanks to its soulful music and the honest acting of Ahaan Pandey and Aneet Padda. While the story is a kind of standard, and you can see the emotional twists coming, it still makes an impact with its intensity.
